POLAND: PAINTING: EWA GORAL

Ewa Goral enjoys combining expressive abstraction with figurative elements exploding into the foreground. In the series Organic she delves into the world of flora and their possible ‘human’ characteristics, inspired by the classic works of Ernest Haeckel—a philosopher, biologist, and traveler—and modern, psychedelic explorations of wildlife, especially the music video for “At Delphi” by Sun Araw. The use of circular canvas is to emphasize the cyclical nature of vegetation.
